Meta Now Allows Instagram & Facebook Users to Post NFTs on Feed

Facebook has ventured into immersive experiences rather than 2D screens, giving rise to “Meta.” In relation to that, users can now post NFTs, or “digital collectibles,” on Instagram and Facebook by connecting their wallets to those platforms.

Meta appears to be curious about whether users want to share their digital art collection on their social media platform.

The posts will resemble regular posts and will be tested with a small group of US creators and collectors.

Facebook previously rolled out NFT support features as well as a preview of how NFTs would appear on the platform.

Users can connect wallets like Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet to post digital collectibles minted on Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow for the most recent update to post their NFTs across Instagram and Facebook.

The company has been experimenting with NFTs on both of its platforms, and it provided us with a timeline of its progress toward immersive reality or the metaverse.

A shimmer effect will be created by posting a digital collectible with public information, such as a description of the NFT. Automatic tagging of both the creator and the collector is also available, subject to each user’s privacy settings.

The Solana blockchain, as well as the third-party wallets Dapper and Phantom, will be supported soon.
